So I have a setup today at this church at 10 am. I find the place get there, and sit down. They explain that they have two computers that they want to setup. I said that is fine, and started to look at the back of the computer. There is no phone cable plugged into the modem. I said that you would need to get a phone line run to the computer permanantly so that you could use it without moving wires. The secretary started getting upset. She feels that when she called in we should have explained inorder to use your dialup service you must have a phoneline connected to the computer. We assume that the customer has a connected phone line when we arrange setups. Before I left, I explained to the pastor that this was not a big deal, and all you needed to do was goto wal-mart or staples, and get a phone cable and a splitter, plug them in and you are good to go. He said that they would get someone that knew what they were doing to take care of it. A phoneline ppl! I could send anyone to the store for a phone cable they would be easily able to find one, even at most grocery stores. So why was the acient concept of telephone communications completely lost on these methodists. Because they take technology for granted. It takes 2 seconds to learn the basic concepts of easy things like a phone. If I don't connect the phone to anything will it work. NO so why would your computer work that way. People like this put me in the mood for vandalism.

Yea I havent been in a while, but I am now. Whats happening people. I have been pretty busy the past couple of weeks, and havent made too much bloggin time. Firefox makes me happy, they are almost to the 12 million dollar mark. I did my part in getting a few converts. It is sooooo much better than internet explorer that if enought people start using it, it would make my life easier. I have also had a new obsession, starwars battlefront. It is the shit, halo, with starwars. I have played it so much in a week that i see storm troopers in the weeds creaping down the hill. Steph says i have post truamatic stress syndrome, but I think its just the game brainwashing me into buying the orginal starwars again, for the third time. On DVD finnaly. This has been my first free minutes at work today, I think i might play some poker, but then the phone just rang. Good thing I just had to take a message. Poker time. I havent played in a few weeks, and planing on playing for real tomorrow night, hopefully keep my winning streak rolling on. Late!

OK I am finnaly recovered from lastnight. It was an interesting end to an era. I inhaled 2 jagerbombs in a hurry, and that was just the begining. We had fun, talked in depth with some people I don't talk to very often. It was a good night and a good time. Stu has moved out of town for good. I will def miss not having him as a roomate. "it says something about not being able to connect." Well are you at the computer now? "No I am not at home and my son is trying to get on from the police station." Well Have Him give me a call when he is at the computer and I can try and help you. "Can you call him he is not really good at that." The NHL is practically gone at this point I doubt there will be any hockey this year. If it wasn't for football, everyone would be watching freaking nascar. I got another call from this guy yesterday, we will call him glen for the pourpose of this conversation. Glen is a 'IT Professional.' (in his words.) Glen call me and tells me that he can not send email to company X. He is getting an error that says not a gateway. He has gotten this error before. Last time we went thru the same thing. I asked him if he can send mail to any other offsite address. His answer was they can do anything with their email but send to company X. I said if that's the case then the email works. He says ok but why cant I get to any of these email addresses. I said if thats the case it is on their end, probably a spam filter. I explained that it worked, and that's all that I can do. This freaking guy, does not know his ass from a hole in the ground. There is no reason to call me for this issue. If you are an "IT Professional" why do you call in enough that I know your name. Get a freaking clue dude, quit trying to make small talk on the phone, and research a few things before you call me. Its called google dude. It holds the answers to everything. I wish people in general would take five minutes before they call tech support, and think about what they are experiencing. Then restart the computer. People don't even think about this. Restart it. I bet 9 time out of 10 its gonna freaking work. RESTART!

I am now a member of Club G. There is definetly an obvious internet connection difference. Time will tell if it makes a real difference in the scheme of things, but so far so good. I had a phone call this morning. From a woman who claims that "i can't connect to the internet" I ask her to explain the problem and she procedes to tell me that she can get to the pottery barn website. I explained that if she can get to potterybarn that the internet is working. She, I guess did not believe me, so she proceded to explain that she can get to the potterybarn site but some search site comes up, for her start page. I explained that it is spyware, get spybot and that will take care of it... 5 minutes later I get another call, again she decided that her internet did not work. I explained again that if she can get to the potterybarn site the internet is working. She said that she typed in the spybot address, and just got to the search page. I explained that it is working, and she must have typed something incorrectly. She proceded to spell the address. www.safernetworking.org which is wrong! so the real address is http://www.safer-networking.org these freaking people. Some days they make me want to kill myself.

EA has really dropped the ball on this one guys, I am on my second game disc and still I have a laggy, buggy, freezing, game. This is the best golf franchise ever, but c'mon EA should we really be paying 50 bucks a pop for a game that isn't complete? This isn't a PC game, there is no way to patch this shit. They don't even have the online play capable of playing over a pppoe connection, so DSL sans router is screwed. I have been a loyal EA customer for years, but espn is really starting to look good at 20 bucks a year for a freshened up game, over the 50 bucks a year I pay every year for practially the same game. THIS IS BULLSHIT PEOPLE! I am personally starting an EA boycott, as long as I can keep myself from madden. I'm getting tired it might be time for bed. I did an audio post, but I am retarded and cannot remember to press the # key when I am finished, I just hang up. This should work. I am going to contact someone about this. None of my drunken posts are going to go up because of this loophole, its shitty i know, but what are ya gonna do. It's for the shorties!

Gmail - Inbox Gmail, I have had gmail for a while, and I have 5 invites just chillin in my account. If anybody wants one let me know. It is the shit, and it kills hotmail or any other webmail for that matter. The only beef I had with it is the fact that it will not work with opera, but since I quit using opera, and downloaded the savior Firefox. SUCK IT DRY!

hey all, I'm sitting here and listening to Howard. smoking a morning cigarette. I went to the brown last night and waited an hour for a cup of soup. I was pissed. The brown and I are not on good terms right now. Also, If that bastard ron mentions excel spreadsheet, that I have nothing to do with, i am going to cut off that fuckers head. I swear to freaking god. I know that I might be over reacting, but no. This guy is completely pointless. He does not understand the difference between his ass and a hole in the ground. The debate bored the hell out of me, for sure. Kerry isn't really explaining any of his plan and Bush doesn't answer any of the questions asked. He was asked point blank about roe vs wade, and he basically said I am not going to answer this question. BTW, steph didn't believe that I could post over the phone. So I made it happen. Well, who is getting ready to watch the debate tonight. I know I am excited about seeing bush make an ass of himself again, since they are going to be in a more traditional debate format, it is going to be much more interesting than the town hall BS of the last one. We will see what happens tonight, I am positive there will be a post, altho stu had talked about cleaning up the house and heading to happy hour for a drink or two, so posting may or may not be possible.
